Somewhat recently, a person has been shaking up the Vienna music scene with his cheerful presence – multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator @brianlawlored.
In addition to his work as a diverse studio/touring musician for a variety of well-known artists (Beyonce, Goo Goo Dolls, Emily Saliers, Winds of Plague, Los Inquietos del Norte….to name a few), he has an interest in discovering cheap instruments at flea markets — and soon after, self-produces concerts showcasing his recent acquisitions in lesser-known dive bars in the 4th district, leaving one marveling at the variations a single instrument can offer.
For this Vinylograph recording session, Brian Lawlor brings along his balalaika and taisho-goto, and we are as eager as can be for this session. We expect nothing less than a virtuosic, high-energy level, fun and joy in the music.
